Amelia Meredith was born in Kent, England in 1986. She began her art education at the age of 21 after being accepted to the Florence Academy of Art. Completing the first half of the program in Florence she graduated from the Swedish campus in December 2010. During her first summer vacation from the Academy she spent three months in St. Petersburg at the Russian Academy of Art where she studied with teachers and graduates from the Repin Academy. She also received the Hudson River Fellowship scholarship with Jacob Collins in 2010. She is currently living and working in Sweden."Painting in the realist tradition I hope to portray in my work the world as I see it using my training at the Florence Academy of Art."
